SynXis Corporation provides reservation management systems to hotels and resorts all over the world. I was charged with the complete redesign of the company's Web site, including improving the navigation, developing a new color scheme, creating original artwork and Flash animations, and editing content.

The Prizelawn spreaders e-commerce site enables distributors all over the United States to conveniently purchase spreaders and spreader accessories. I designed the site with the goal of optimizing sales by making the site clean, open, and easy to use.

Working with the National Pharmacy Council, I redesigned Your Pharmacy Benefit's site to help consumers and caretakers make better use of their prescription coverage. The new design takes advantage of structural XHTML for markup and creative, flexible uses of CSS for powerful formatting and visual appearance details.

The White Inn is a bed and breakfast located in the historic western New York village of Fredonia. In order to improve room sales and dining reservations, I was asked to recreate the identity and visual design of the entire site.The redesign makes extensive use of XHTML, Flash, and CSS for layout and presentation.

Watson Wyatt asked me to create various prototypes of an employee benefit home page. Each of my designs features a fresh, clean appearance that simplifies the presentation of the content and contributes to an optimal user experience. I created all of the graphics and was responsible for the XHTML/CSS coding.

Daveandellen.com is the Web site of Dave Hagigh and Ellen MacRae, realtors with Remax. The site showcases their current listings and provides useful information for potential buyers and sellers. I designed and coded the site and edited the content.

Created as a training delivery tool, WinStar University provided Web-based telecommunications training for call center agents all over the United States. I designed the entire site as well as many of the courses, using standards-compliant XHTML and CSS and Flash for interactive quizzes and job aids.

Trouble Handling is one of several courses that I developed for WinStar University. I designed and coded this online course and, using instructional design principles, created the course contents. I also used Flash to create quizzes for each section of the course. The Home page features a Flash movie that was designed to pique students' interest.

For direct (voice) reservations, Voice Agent® from SynXis was used by a single reservation office or a large call center serving multiple properties. I designed the structure and navigation for this Web-based training course, wrote the content of the course, designed original graphics, and developed a test for the course using Flash.

The Socrates Learning Guide was designed to help Field Account Managers learn how to do their jobs independently or with little supervision. I designed the layout of the guide, transformed my mockup into HTML and CSS, and created original graphics and content for it.

Through the Book-A-Rez™ Internet booking link, consumers can book hotel rooms directly from a property's Web site in real time. The background and logos from the site are used in Book-A-Rez™ so that customers do not realize they are using a third-party booking engine. I designed the entire GUI for Book-A-Rez, and developed this online course to teach account managers how to customize their clients' reservation Web sites.

Because of security considerations, I am unable to show examples from the cargo-processing application that I am helping to design for U.S. Customs and Border Control, which is a component of the Department of Homeland Security.

Gift Strategies is a comprehensive service that covers all aspects of gifting: convenient selection, personalized gifts and messages, rapid and secure delivery, and compliance with all legal and ethics requirements. I designed all aspects of the user interface for this site.

OneSoft was a Web-based application that enabled enterprises to interact dynamically with their customers and trading partners to exchange information, provide services, and complete business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions. I contributed to the design of the original application, and was the sole designer of the second version of the application. I also provided XHTML/CSS prototypes for use in developing the application in XML.

Voice Agent is a phone-based reservation tool that enabled individual properties, chains, or call centers to access real-time rates and availability. I designed this wireframe as preliminary step in overhauling the entire look and feel of the application.

The OneSoft4 application began as a wireframe prototype, which I developed through several iterations after developing use cases and user personas, and gathering market requirements. I ultimately was responsible for the information architecture and visual design of the entire application.

This Java application required extensive planning and numerous flowcharts and wireframe iterations. I organized the entire information architecture for the user interface and was responsible for the interaction and visual designs.
